Enhanced – Managing the REAL/Easy Chart of Accounts.

As more and more brokers are integrating REAL/Easy and their financial accounting systems to speed up month end closings and save staff time eliminating duplicate data entry, the chart of accounts setups in REAL/Easy are increasing in importance. To help in maintaining the chart of accounts a number of enhancements have been made with the setup form.

To improve viewing and maintenance account “search” has been added to the Add/Edit Chart of Accounts command. Any combination of account number, account name, and account type can be searched to display. Above shows a search of all “4”, or income, accounts in the chart.

Need to recall the agent commission expense for the company information and interface accounting setups? Just search for the name as above.

What are the current trust accounts that are setup? Use the “Type” search as shown above.

After making changes or interface accounting and default account setups it is a good idea to keep a record of the current chart of accounts and which accounts are involved in the setups sales and billing income and expense.

Improved:: The chart of accounts list.

Illustrated above is the improved chart of accounts list. Improvements include:

• Date and time of the listing are indicated top right.
• The accounts are listed similar to an outline with detail accounts indented under the general accounts making it easier to review.
• A “Company Setup Note” column indicates which of your accounts are currently setup as defaults for the sales, billing, and trust account record entry.
