Agent Check Printing – Enhance to Print Incorporation Name

To utilize the new agent corporate name for the check printing, an adjustment must be made to the check “Reports”. If you are using a standard form that is identified in the Preferences “Custom Report/Check Selection”, these will be adjusted when you install the version 14.4 update.

For companies who have modified or built their own check printing report the following steps must be taken to print either the individual or corporate agent name. The report check stubs and check will have the item “szName”. This is the report name in the agent record.

If you have your own copy of Crystal Reports version 8 or 8.5, these changes can be made. If you do not have the Crystal Reports program the check program can be emailed to Executive Systems to be altered.

Above is an example of the check area where the agent name is printed.

Step 1: Create a formula field, e.g. “ESLCalcName” as shown above. This formula will set the name to the agent incorporation name (szIncorporationName) if the check date is after the incorporation date. If the agent record does not have an incorporation date, then the agent report name (szName) is assigned.

Step 2: Above, replace the szName with the new formula in the check and stubs sections.
