Reset Expired Plan Dates – Control Who can use it and New Command

In all earlier versions of REAL/Easy BOS, any operator who is logging into BOS, could receive the following display and prompt for action regarding agent commission plan dates:

This window provides a reminder and list of agent plans whose commission plan start and end dates have “expired”. The two “Automatic..” buttons can be used to either renew the agent highlighted or all of the agents. The “Close” button is used to ignore this message/display and complete the user login.

Customers with many users have suggested that there should be a control over which users receive this message. This control has now been added to the “Setup Menu Access” command under BOS “Preferences”:

Like all commands in BOS, the “Reset Expired Plan Dates” is now included in the menu access list so that a required level can be assigned. Above illustrates locating and setting the required level to “2”. With a required level of 2 assigned to “Reset..”, all users with a general level of 3 through 9, would no longer receive the “reset” message upon login. Only users with a general level of 0, 1, or 2, would receive the reset message at login.   

For added convenience, the “Reset Expired Plan Dates” action has also been added as a command within the “Agent Comm(issions) & Ded(uctions)” area of BOS’s “Advanced Setup”.  Thus a user who as an appropriate access level to use the reset, can access the form while logged into the system.

Above, agents having expired commission plan contract dates are displayed for an operator having sufficient access level to use the reset command. The contract dates are compared to today’s date on the computer to determine if they are expired.

Above, like all other “general” commands, if a user does not have a sufficient access level, the above message will indicate this when the command is selected.
