FOS – Front Office System – Listing Desktop and Search Enhancements

A number of enhancements have been completed for the FOS’s desktop listing search and browse display to help all users locate, view, edit, and enter appointments for the company listings.

Show above is a sample of the improved FOS listing search and browse desktop. 

First, note that a “Search” button has been added. Previously, as any one search criteria had been changed, the system would immediately attempt to re-search the database. Also, in the past, certain items would be “reset” making it more difficult to find individual or groups of listings.

Now, a user will set the value of all items first and the system will not start a search until the Search key is pressed. For example to browse all active listings in office 2, the both drop down items would be set and then the Search button clicked to find and re-display the listings desired.  This example is shown below:

Tip: In addition to clicking the Search button, the operator can also type Alt-S or press the Enter key.

To help find a listing when the full address is known, the “Street No” item has been added.

The above figure shows an example of using the street number (“576”)  and name (“Sunny”) to locate a property.  The operator can enter the number then tab to enter the name and then press the “Enter” key.

For customers who file or record by the Listing ID, that item has been added to the search options.

Another option requested by many FOS users was to add an agent search to display a particular agent’s listings. This handy capability is illustrated above where all active listings for a particular agent are displayed. This can be helpful for any updesk, duty desk, or coordinator who may need to locate a listing when they just know the listing agent.

Note that the new listing count is displayed at the bottom of the window.
