REAL/Easy User Security and Control Enhancements The new version of REAL/Easy has a significant number of security and user control enhancements. These have been added to enable the controlled use of REAL/Easy by more company personnel and agents. In previous versions of REAL/Easy, use by staff other than central office was very limited. Now, other staff such as branch office sales assistants as well as branch managers can be assigned user ID’s and given controlled access to BOS and/or FOS.
Above is the User Log In browse window for editing and adding users. Each user that is setup in FOS and BOS, is assigned a “User Level”. The user levels are:
The user entry process has been changed to reflect expanded user controls for FOS and BOS as well as other add on modules that will soon be available to REAL/Easy customers.
The first step is to enter the new user name. Click the “Next” button. If an existing user name is entered, the system will display the user maintenance screen. If the user name is new, the following screen is displayed:
On this screen, the user level is assigned and the full (long) name is entered.
Above is a list of the user levels that are displayed in the User Level drop down. ![]() For Office and Company level users, the final entry screen appears as above. The password is entered, followed by the password level. For Office level users, the Office assigned will be the one they are to be limited to for data entry and sales reporting. For Company level users, the Office is simply the default office assigned at login. The user is then setup for access to either or both FOS and BOS.
